Help and Instructions on the application process
The online permit application process will take you through the following steps and pages:
Step 1: TAX ID Entry Page: On this page you are asked to enter the TAX ID of the property associated with the permit application.
Should you not know the TAX ID for the applicable property, please click on
Find TaxID. Copy and the number and paste it in the TAX ID field
on the first page of the application.
Should you not find a TAX ID please contact the Tax Assessment Office for
the TAX ID number: Tel: 540.328.3556 or email to:Commissioner's Office
Step 2: Application Information Page: Please complete all listed fields. If you hire a contractor please select a contractor from
the link listed under the contractor section.
On the bottom of the page please check off all the permits you wish to apply for. Now click on NEXT.
Step 3: Permit Pages After you have selected the permits and clicked NEXT you will find the permits listed on the left side of the screen.
Please click on each permit listed and complete all the information requested. If you click on the APPLICATION PAGE
you will find a summary of all permits and information you have entered. Please click on each permit listed and complete all the information requested.
